Week nine...my last one 😢
This will be the last blog for Year Two! I cannot believe that we have all been together for a year (some of you for two!). It has been an absolute delight, privilege and honour teaching your beautiful children and I say without a shadow of a doubt that this has been one of the best years of teaching that I have experienced! I feel if I write too much more, I might begin to tear up 😭
The last of the messages for this week...
Christmas Concert
A HUGE thank you to all of you who turned out for the Christmas concert on Tuesday! It was such a spectacular night and both Mrs. Haines and Mrs. Sherborne did a wonderful job of making the night one to remember! Our dancing was of course the finale piece as they leave the best until last. I was so proud of all of the children as some were so nervous, but I couldn't take my eyes off all of them! Super proud teacher moment!
Excursion Photos
What an amazing day we had at the Busselton Jetty! The children loved moving through the different levels of the ocean floor and we even spotted a huge octopus! How lucky are we to live near such an amazing landmark like the jetty!
We were blessed with great weather and the train ride, water play and sneaky icy pole to finish the day was a great end to the term. Thank you to all of our parent helpers for minding our bags, being great cricket umpires, icy pole fetchers and it was so great to catch up with you all for a chat! Have a look at some of our photos! The last one sums up what I was doing at 5pm that night!
A special guest appearance from Andrew Lewis
On Wednesday we were lucky enough to be visited by Levi's Dad, Andrew and two very unusual visitors to the top oval grassed area. We were treated to a real shearing show with Levi's Dad shearing a sheep for the PP's, 1K and 2M. I am in awe of his amazing ability to cut the wool off the sheep so quickly and even Miss McFarlane got to have a go! A HUGE thank you to both Andrew and Serena Lewis for arranging this wonderful incursion for us!
Library books and Readers
Last call for any readers or library books at home as Ms Kemp is currently closing up the Library for the term.
Colour Run
On Friday 10th December the Colour Run will take place at 2pm. The students have been sent home with a form to raise money for new school and sports equipment. These are due back on this day. Please bring along a white T-shirt to get the best colour effect!
Swimming Lesson note
Yesterday your child was sent home with a swimming lesson note. Could you please bring it back by Friday at the LATEST as we will be starting swimming lessons on the first Wednesday of Term 1 next year.
I think that is it from me. Thank you so much for all of your support, love and kindness this year. Your children will always be my family and I wish them every happiness and success that I know next year will bring them. I feel very lucky to be in such a wonderful caring community.
If I don't see you before the end of the year, Merry Christmas!
Monique Wendelin
