Week Seven is here!

Good afternoon Parents, I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend and managed to get some rest after the massive week we had last week with the athletics carnival. I had a beautiful brunch at Meelup Farmhouse on Friday with some of the other teachers from school.  Just a few notices for the week ahead... Athletics Carnival Congratulations to  Leeuwin  on winning the Sports Carnival last Wednesday, a fine speech by our captains Cooper and Paige.  The students again showed such great enthusiasm and sportsmanship on the day and gave it their all for every game or race they participated in! What a great way to finish week 6! Open Night A big thank you to all the families who came to our open night last week (we know it was a long day after the sports carnival, so we really appreciate it). The children were so proud to show you all the hard work they have been completed this year in Year Two. They especially loved you choosing your favourite piece of work. Homewor...

Dear Parents,  Just a few bits of information for tomorrow and next week:  Athletics Carnival Tomorrow is our annual athletics carnival, kicking off around 9.15. You will have received an email from admin with the schedule for the day.  Please also read below other information sent from admin earlier this morning in regards to the day.   I also asked the students to have a bit of a clean out of their school bags this evening as we take them down to the oval for the day to hold their jumpers, lunchboxes and water bottles - and clearly name everything especially food containers, jumpers and hats! Students can bring teddies decorated in team colours but they will be responsible for looking after them for the day.  Students can also have coloured hair/zinc but I ask if you could do this before school at home rather than outside the class.  I'm very excited to join in the fun and looking forward to a great day tomorrow!  Open Evening Tomorrow wi...

Dear Parents,  I hope you have had a wonderful week in (some) sunshine and you are looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Can you believe that we are already halfway through the term?! How time flies when you are having fun! Just a few messages from this week... Welcome Levi 🎉🥳 A very big warm OLC welcome to Levi (and his parents Serena and Andrew) who has joined our class this week. Levi has been an absolute super star and we feel like he has been here all year! We are so lucky to have you Levi and welcome to the Year 2W team! SEESAW   This is a form of formal reporting that we are implementing over this semester to give you insight to your child's achievement more regularly rather than only the formal report that you will receive at the end of the year.   We now have nearly all families sign up and access their child's journal.  Don't forget you can have both parents access your child's Seesaw account and that you can access directly with the Seesaw Family app on...

Dear  P arents,    I hope you had a lovely weekend with your families. We are still coming off the absolute high that was out  performance  assembly last Friday. Both Amy and  myself  were blown away with the children’s  performances  and the way they remembered their lines, parts and  s an g  their little hearts out! Have a look at some of the wonderful photos below...     Just a few messages for this week:      OLC Mission Market Day and Feast Day   This Friday (13 th  of August) we are celebrating the 25 th  anniversary of OLC and the feast of the Assumption of Mary.  This year, the markets will look a bit different and will be focused on raising money for the Catholic Mission Australia with the  profits   of the day going to charities in Thailand. We would love the children to bring money that they have earned from doing jobs around the house so that they can understa...
