Week 2 Information...

Good afternoon parents,

We had a great first week of Term 2 and have already learnt so much. It was lovely to hear of the many adventures you all seemed to get up to on the holidays. I hope you all have a wonderful long weekend and get to spend some time in the sunshine.

Just a few reminders for Week 2...

Friendology - URStrong 🧸
This is the wonderful friendship and social emotional program that we will be starting this term to support the children in helping them make better friends and strengthen and foster healthy relationships. Within the program the children may be starting to use the language of UR Strong: Friendology including: 'Friendship fire', 'Talk it out', 'Quick comebacks' and the 'Friend-o-cycle'. We will be providing some information to parents on the blog as we complete the lessons of the program.
On Friday we will be using our stuffies (stuffed toys/ beanie boos/ teddies) to help us be brave and act out different scenarios that we could be faced with in the playground. If you could please make sure your child brings in their stuffy on Friday 30th of April to participate in this activity, that would be greatly appreciated. Please note that we only require a stuffy that is no more than 30 cm big.

Friendology lunch club
This will be happening every Tuesday for Year 1-3's in 2W. Children are more than welcome to come and eat their lunch and do some fun activities and learn about the Friendology way of life.

Prayer Assembly Outfit 🙏
We have our prayer assembly on Friday the 30th of April (Week 2). As our prayer assembly is all about celebrating kindness and how it brightens our lives, we would love if your child could bring a brightly coloured plain t-shirt to wear in their school bag. If you do not have one, please don't stress as your child will already be dressed in their coloured faction shirts.

Homework 📚
Homework is due Friday 30th of April. If your child is not going to be at school please ensure that they bring in their RED Reading folder and their homework book on Thursday. This enables us to check over their work and glue in the next fortnights homework.

Error in RED Reading folder
As you may have already noticed it is marked that next Tuesday 27th of April is a Student Free Day. Unfortunately, we made a mistake and we definitely do have school this day. Apologies for the miscommunication.

Wheelie, Walkie, Waste Free Wednesday 🚲🛹🍎
This wonderful initiative begins this Wednesday and will run for the whole term. There is a class challenge and I would love for our class to be the best in the school and see how many students we can get wheeling or walking. If we are the winners, we get to go for a class excursion anywhere in the Busselton region, a great prize indeed! If you are unable to wheel or walk, please make sure your child is coming with as much nude food (no packaging) as possible.

Thanks for your ongoing support,

Mrs Wendelin
