Welcome to Week Seven

 Good afternoon parents, 

I hope you had a lovely weekend in the sunshine. I raced up to Perth on Saturday morning to celebrate my sister's babyshower! It was a day of swooning and lots of delicious food! 




I hope you all enjoyed the day today with no washing of swimming towels too! 

Just a few messages for this week...

Meals after Wheels

This will be held this Tuesday 16th of March. Children are encouraged to bring along their roller blades, skateboards or scooters (no bikes) and the appropriate protective gear. Please be aware that if they do not have their helmet, they will not be able to participate in this wonderful initiative. 

No Assemblies

Due to swimming lessons there is no assembly this week. Assemblies will resume in Week 8. 

Parent Teacher Interviews

These are fast approaching and will commence between Week 8 and 9 (22nd March to the 1st April). An electronic timetable will be sent to your email via a link in the coming days. There will be a mixture of morning and afternoon times available.  

Homework
Just a little reminder that Homework is due Friday 19th March. Please ensure your child brings their red reading folder and their homework book so it can be marked. If your child will not be at school Friday, please bring it in on Thursday so homework can be glued in for Weeks 8 and 9.

Week Seven is here!

 Good afternoon Parents, I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend and managed to get some rest after the massive week we had last week with the athletics carnival. I had a beautiful brunch at Meelup Farmhouse on Friday with some of the other teachers from school.  Just a few notices for the week ahead... Athletics Carnival Congratulations to  Leeuwin  on winning the Sports Carnival last Wednesday, a fine speech by our captains Cooper and Paige.  The students again showed such great enthusiasm and sportsmanship on the day and gave it their all for every game or race they participated in! What a great way to finish week 6! Open Night A big thank you to all the families who came to our open night last week (we know it was a long day after the sports carnival, so we really appreciate it). Dear parents,  I hope you have had a great start to your week and have enjoyed hearing about our swimming adventures over the past week and a half. We have loved being down by the bay despite the cooler weather, the water has been like glass! Have a look at some of the pictures from our lessons below... Just a few messages this week... Parents in the classroom: Sadly at this stage parents are no longer able to enter into the classroom in the mornings during gathering time.  As per the government information for schools, parents must also wear face masks at school even when outside. Unfortunately, this also extends to parent teacher interviews so therefore our main port of call will be via email. Please see the previous blog post if you do not have my email address. Parent Information Night: Due to COVID requirements there will not be a parent information night this year. We will pass on the required information in another form and more information will be coming out next week....
