Week ten and eleven...I'm in heaven!

Dear Parents,  I hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the last days before the children are on HOLIDAYS! We as teachers are also looking forward to a little R and R after a massive 11 week term! I was lucky enough to attend a friends engagements on Friday for a night of laughing and dancing. It was nice to get out of my trackie pants that I've been in the last few weekends! A few messages from week 10 and looking into week 11... Popcorn and cuddly buddy party   The most important information first...I'm sure you may have heard that next Friday we will be having a Popcorn party across both Year Two classes to celebrate the outstanding work the children have produced this term! The children are also invited to bring in a soft toy that can fit in the school bag. We will be putting the finishing touches on our assembly art as well as watching the movie 'Sing' to warm us up for our assembly song. Stay tuned for more information! Week 9 feeling fine 😎

 Good afternoon parents, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the glorious sunshine that we had. It was definitely nice to see some sun after the rain we have had all week. Just a few messages for the week ahead... Year 2 Mass Last Wednesday, we were fortunate enough that the rain held off and we were able to walk to Our Lady of the Southern Cross Church, where Father Francis hosted a beautiful morning mass. Throughout the mass, Father Francis explained how making the sign of the cross at the beginning of Mass is like saying hello to Jesus. He also explained each part of the Mass and at the end opened it up to the children to ask questions about the Mass and Church. The children were very reverent and respectful and one of the parishioners even commented on this.  Cross Country 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Just a reminder that Cross Country is taking place this Thursday 17th of June. Shut the gate...it's week 8!

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you enjoyed the lovely long weekend and some of that glorious winter sun. We had two wonderful PD days here at school the first looking at the Eucharist and it's importance in our lives and the second learning about well being of both the students and ourselves. We can't wait to implement some of this great learning into our class! Just a few messages for this week... Our Learning In Art, we learnt all about the artist Rebecca Cool and she inspired us to create our very own cat creations.
