Week One so much fun!

We have had a wonderful start to our first week in Year Two and it has been so nice to see so many familiar (and some new) faces in the class. Both Mrs. Peacock and myself feel so lucky we get to be a part of such a beautiful little class this year and I can only imagine how tired some of your children must be because I have been exhausted!

I know it's been a little different this year with adults not being allowed in the classrooms due to COVID restrictions so here are a few snaps of some of our learning from this week...

We loved getting back into the routine of our InitiaLit sessions and Georgia even remembered what a contraction was from last year...what a clever cookie!

Our mental Math warm ups have been a great warm up for our brains after the holidays. I have been so impressed with the children's working out strategies when solving problems 🙌

Our favourite time of the week is our learning centre time where we are encouraged to see and play with our wonderful friends from 2M.

We have begun our art sessions focusing on types of line and I can ceratainly see all of the children's creative streaks coming out 😍🎨

We loved meeting our buddies on Friday and we are looking forward to more activities in the future 🙌

Home reading will begin next week and if you have a reading file from last year, we would love you to pop it in your child's bag so they can go home with a reading book from Monday. Homework grids will begin week 4 🤓

Thank you all for a wonderful first week and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
