Good afternoon parents,  I hope you had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the cooler change on Saturday. Just a few pieces of information for week five... Homework Today we sent home the Year Two fluency grid with this fortnights focus sounds and tricky words. Have a look at our last blog post which shows you how you can use this at home to increase your child's reading fluency. We have also included all of the spelling lists for your information on the back of the fluency grid. The pink list 💓 is the target for Year Two from our InitiaLit program. Please feel free to use these lists at home to increase your child's spelling abilities.   Good afternoon  parents, Wow! What an absolutely busy yet fun first full week we have had in the Year Two team since swimming lessons have finished and we are into full days of learning.  Can you believe it is already week 4? I am so proud of how much focus and persistence with a positive attitude our Year Two team are showing when learning new things. In just a few weeks we are already growing our confidence to problem solve and continuing to build our independence to complete our work, try out new things and even suggest and share our own ideas and other ways we can show what we know and have learnt.    Thank you to all who have made the time to read through the parent information slides posted last week and read through the other information in the previous posts.   Hi everyone,  Welcome to the 2022 parent information night for Year Two. This year it looks a little bit different due to COVID restrictions. We understand that in previous years, it might have been a bit difficult for some people to attend due to other commitments, so we are very privileged to be able to present this to you all in an online capacity. We are so excited to teach your children and have already had such a great two weeks getting to know everyone. Dear parents,  I hope you have had a great start to your week and have enjoyed hearing about our swimming adventures over the past week and a half. We have loved being down by the bay despite the cooler weather, the water has been like glass! Have a look at some of the pictures from our lessons below... Just a few messages this week... Parents in the classroom: Sadly at this stage parents are no longer able to enter into the classroom in the mornings during gathering time.  As per the government information for schools, parents must also wear face masks at school even when outside. Unfortunately, this also extends to parent teacher interviews so therefore our main port of call will be via email. Please see the previous blog post if you do not have my email address. Parent Information Night: Due to COVID requirements there will not be a parent information night this year. We will pass on the required information in another form and more information will be coming out next week....
